Nickie Christine Logan Tapp, 31, of Biloxi, MS died on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in New Orleans, LA following a tragic accident. Nickie was one half of a beautiful set of twins born to her adoring parents, Nick and Ellie (Lawson) Tapp on April 12, 1981 in Biloxi, MS. Nickie was a graduate of D'Iberville High School, where she excelled in basketball and fast pitch softball, earning a college scholarship. She graduated from Holmes County College in Grenada, MS and was a certified surgical technician.
Nickie is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lucille (Adams) Roby and her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. Irvin H. and Mrs. Christine Adams of Biloxi, MS.
Nickie leaves behind her parents, Mr. Nick and Mrs. Ellie Tapp of Biloxi, MS, as well as her greatest loves of her life, her beloved sons, Nicholas Robert and Nathan Thomas Logan and their father, Thomas M. (Trea) Logan III all of Oakland, MS. Nickie is also survived by her closest friend, her twin sister, Mrs. Nicole C. (John) McCrief; one brother, Brad (Kelly) Tapp; two sisters, Ms Natasha Tapp and Ms Natalee Tapp all of Biloxi, MS; her maternal grandfather, Mr. Richard C. Lawson of Gulfport, MS; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Delores) Tapp of Smyrna, TN and her niece, Ms Summer Hope Tapp of Biloxi, MS. Nickie also leaves to treasure her memory many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, her former husband, Anthony Nixon, a stepson and stepdaughter and friends too numerous to count who will all love and miss her forever.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to a dear friend who has helped in this time of sorrow.
A thousand words won't bring Nickie back to us, we know because we've said them and neither will a million tears, because we've cried them all, but when we've finished crying, because her life has ended, we'll smile because she lived it.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to one's favorite charity.

Oh Mrs. Ellie and Mr. Nick I am so shocked to hear of Nicki's passing. I feel like I just saw her yesterday in the gym and she was talking about how much she enjoyed being a mother and wife. I know it is not easy but God has a plan. He needed Nicki to be an Angel and watch over you and your family. And she is a beautiful Angel in deed. With my deepest empathy.

I worked with the tapp family years ago at boomtown. Nikki was such a joy and so full of life. I ran in to her a little while back while out to dinner. She told me all about her sweet children. She was still the same sweet Nikki I had known. My prayers go out to her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Nicki it is still so hard to wrap my mind around you being gone. I remember working with you at Olive Garden. We had so much fun. You were so full of life and always smiling. I missed you so much when you left. My heart goes out to your family but mostly to your boys. When you used to talk about them you would smile from ear to ear. There was such a sparkle in your eye when you would speak about them and show me their pictures. Ill miss you always and think of you often. Love you Nicki
