Dr. Stephen Wayne "Doc" McAuliffe, age 69, passed away Thursday, May 2, at his home in Biloxi. He was born in Boston, MA. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and had his family practice in Biloxi. He was a fan of anything that came out of Boston, a true Yankee at heart. He previously served in the US Army and was honorably discharged as a Major after 20 years of service. He enjoyed college basketball and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and June McAuliffe; and his wife, Lynnea Reis McAuliffe.
He is survived by his children Kevin McAuliffe (Brenda), Nicole Edelen (Clinton), Kayla McAuliffe Morano, Ali McAuliffe, (Chris Garrett), Stephanie Addison (Jordy); grandchildren, Audrey and Andrew McAuliffe, Reis and Carson Edelen, Hayden and Hadleigh Morano; and his unofficial sister, Liz Metcalf.
The funeral service will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 a.m. The reception details will be announced at the service.

I am so sorry to hear of Doc's passing. I have many fond memories of him when we worked together at Biloxi Specialty Hospital many years ago. He was always such a good sport, and made me laugh everyday. I was one of his case managers and his patients loved him. Fly high old friend! Prayers for his family during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear of Dr. McAuliffe's passing. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. And, that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of my medical school classmate and friend. I will always remember the good times we shared while in school, you helped to make all the hard work bearable.
