I send my condolences to the family and friends of Bruce. I knew him as a fellow member of the postal service and as my very own mail carrier. The knews saddens me greatly, but I can only empathize with what you all are going through. He was very nice person and a great mail man. I still remember the clogs he would wear while he was delivering mail in the buildings.

To the family of Bruce Parton and the S. Florida Postal Family. I send my sincere sympathy and heartfelt condolences. I'm grieving the loss of Bruce after hearing of this tragedy. Bruce was one of those employees that you never forget. He was an excellent letter carrier and most respectful. I previously was the station manager at North Miami Beach Post Office and later the Executive Area Manager for the North stations in Miami, where Bruce worked. He always, always, greeted me with a smile and performed his duties in an outstanding manner. He never complained and always did his best to meet the task given him, often going above and beyond the call of duty. Always pleasant and always with a smile. Mr. Bruce Parton was definitely an asset to the Postal Service. The world has truly lost a very good person in losing Bruce. May God provide comfort to all during this time. God Bless.

To the Parton Family...
I am a Postal Employee of 34 years and was, for a time, a letter carrier like Mr. Parton. I also happen to be 60 years, his age. I never met Mr. Parton but, like thousands of other Postal employees across the nation I am grieved by his death. Please know that many at the Postal Service have him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

Bruce has been our mail man for about 8 yrs and more...he was the most amazing every day positive human contact of my life, he would come in my office singing like a door bell:"mail-Man!" always with a kind, funny note he would deliver our mail. I have to tell you I thought he only did it for me,but when one day being in my next door neighbor office while he delivered her mail, I felt a little jealousy listening to him with the same caring, uplifting tone he delivered her mail...But only then did I realized that Bruce was a real "messenger", he did not just delivered and collected mail , Bruce was a messenger of God,a messenger of LOVE. Thank you Bruce I feel so blessed to have had you as my messenger ...I dedicate to you this Prayer written by the Sioux Indian;
"Let me not take them for granted
or be blind to the marvel of their presence,
to the sound of their voices,
the joy of their companionship
or the beauty of their love"
