Edmund Sadowski Obituary

Sadowski, Edmund, age 80, of Hollywood, FL, formerly of Valley Stream, NY. and Chicago, IL, died November 12, 2006. Beloved husband of Carol for 57 years, father of Lynn Mahoney & Christie Cortez; grandfather of Christie Sadowski, Douglas Mahoney & Reynard Cortez. He was a beautiful man. Born in Chicago to Charles & Elenor Sadowski, he was a graduate of Lane Tech High School and Wright College, Chicago. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, with the rank of Staff Sergeant Major, was in the Paratroopers serving in the Philippines and Japan in 1945. He was in the sales representative business for building materials in New York State from 1959-1976. Was manager and photographer for wife Carol's art business from 1976 to present. He was Vice President of Chopin Foundation of the United States and Vice President of the American Institute of Polish Culture. Funeral service will he held Thursday, November 16, 2006, 11:00 am at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, FL. (954)989-1550, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Hollywood Memorial Gardens, North.
