Mr. Webster was one of the most influential people in my life. He took a novice Accordion player and kid and turned him into a classical musician. It was a long way from The Donkey Serenade to Beethoven Sonatas but Ernie saw the best in me as a musician and wouldn't give up until he brought it out. He even guided me to be the first and only graduate from Florida Atlantic University with a music degree in Accordion. But it wasn't just the music discipline I learned under him. That discipline affected every area of my life and remains with me to this day. One of the finest musicians, guide, and Christisn brothers I have ever had the priviledge to know, Ernest Webster's passion for excellence, and for his students, will always remain with me.

I remember with fondness my days and evenings in the music school with Mr. Webster, as well as the various music competitions around Florida. He taught me a lot about music theory, performance, and appreciation. Even now, forty years later, I remember my first visit there and the very first piece I learned to play: "Ode to C", which consisted of a single note: Middle C :-) With Mr. Webster's tutelage, in just a few months I was playing Beethoven on stage with a first-place trophy at my side! The lessons he taught have stuck with me throughout my life, and I am forever grateful. Mr. Webster made a difference, and the world is a better place because of him. He will be missed!
I thank Ernie for my entire career of bringing music to hundreds of thousands!

As a teacher, he pushed each of us to develop our talent to the fullest. His passion for music was contageous and evident in the arrangement we shared in the Symphonette. Over the many years of playing music based on Ernie's teachings, it truly becomes part of your soul...what a legacy!

My condolences to the Webster family. Ernie was a perfectionist and keyboard virtuoso... teaching me at age six to read music before starting to read in school. Then on to the Symphonette. I miss those days dearly. Mr. Webster, you will be sorely missed.

Ernie Webster was the reason I kept my interest in music and playing the accordion which I still play today. He was a dynamic motivator in my early years to continue learning the accordion. We continued to stay in touch across the miles and has been a total friend in my life. I remember the dedication he had in music. I will miss him greatly.

Soon there will be a heavenly version of the Webster Accordion Symphonette. Ernie lived for and loved music and especially the accordion. He was a very good teacher and mentor. He always had a song in his heart and music was his passion. My prayers are with the family as we all say, "good bye" to a fine musician and teacher.
