Evangeline Reed Obituary

Evangeline Foster Reed was born January 16, 1926 in Washington Heights New York. She passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was a successful career woman who purchased her own home as a single woman in Miami Lakes. She married in the early 70's and moved to Davie Florida. She and her husband Bob were past presidents of the Rare Fruit and Vegetable Council of Broward County, and adorned their acre property with exotic fruit trees for many years. She resided there until her move to an assisted living facility one year ago where she developed many friendships with residents and staff. She was a patriot who loved and respected her country, she loved the Catholic Church, watching daily mass on TV, animals of all kinds, and reading her daily news paper. Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by her parents Wallace P. Foster and Rose G. Foster, her sister Rose Foster and husband Bob. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Miami. Arrangements by T. M. Ralph Funeral Home. 954-587-6888

I'm saddened to just find out my cousin has passed away. She was very kind when I reached out to her several years ago as I worked on researching our Foster genealogy. Her love for her husband Bob, animals and devotion to the Catholic church were her corner stone in life.
