Henry Dwork Obituary

Dwork, Henry R., 87, of Boca Raton, FL (formerly of Tenafly, NJ) died on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Born in New York City on December 26, 1922 to Sol and Anna Dwork. Henry graduated from New York University Dental School in 1943. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joyce Kraus Dwork, his loving children, Deborah, Andrew (Angela) and Thomas (Janet) work. He was the devoted Papa to Rachael, Adam, Theodore and Alexander and caring brother of Stephen Powers and Helen Goldberg. Henry was a pioneer in the field of esthetic dentistry in midtown Manhattan, practicing for over 50 years. He was known as dentist to the stars. He also was Involved in theatrical dentistry fabricating dental appliancesmost notably for Marion Brando, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro in the Godfather movies. Henry was a Navy lieutenant and served as the base oral surgeon at Paris Island, South Carolina during the Korean War. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Donations may be made to Hospice by the Sea, 1531 W. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486. Funeral services will be held at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 7500 North State Road 7, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at noon.
