Growing up across the alley from the Estess family in Hollywood, all of us in the Allen family fell in love with the Estess family in 1959 when we discovered them as neighbors when we moved into the neighborhood. Our mother and all of us sisters considered Hugh simply dreamy gorgeous, with sparkling eyes and always ready with a big uproarious laugh...To our family Hugh was so very nice, so sweet, a hilarious prankster, a wickedly charming tease and a great kickball player. My sister Wendy and I both had our first crushes on the handsome Hugh. Today We're hoping Hugh is BBQ-ing with his Dad and Mom and grandparents as they always used to when the family gathered in their backyard for legendary Estess family fun. God bless you Sweet Handsome Hugh, Rest In Peace and don't forget the beer when we all show up for BBQ ribs.

You will be dearly missed my so many.
Remembering a fun Uber ride with you in Savannah during which you recited Shakespeare's works at great length.
