I cant believe how time flies, when we all heard the sudden news of Dr. Forrest. Today, wasnt a great feeling, a loney feeling that one of the most respected, devoted, compassionated, dedicated to his patients and took time with each and everyone no matter what the cause and time was. Yes, Dr. J. Michael Forrest!! A year later, and still cant really believe it, but Doc, would always want us to move on, not forgotten, but to be and feel okay, and thats all we can do. I carry Doc's memory as the greatest, especially his laughs (one of a kind). I know Doc is in a better & safe place, just blessed to have gotten to meet one of God's Special Angels. I love you and miss you, Dr. Forrest.

I just found out about Dr. Forrest passing. He was my Doctor for almost 10 years. He always was kind and took the time to speak with me regarding everything I was going through. I moved to Coral Springs and still chose to drive all the way to plantation in order to use him as my Doctor. He will be missed. My blessings go out to his family.

Dr. Forrest walked me through so many down times in my life. He encouraged me to find love again, and enjoy life instead of wallowing in depression. He helped me to see that I was worth more than I thought of myself. Dr. Forrest did not just treat my body, he touched my heart. Because I took his advice and decided to live again, i now have a beautiful daughter. He will be sadly missed. (F. Anderson)

Even now it's still very hard to come to terms with the fact that my last appointment with Dr Forrest was only a few days before. He was my doctor for over 10 years and in all that time he was pleasant, professional and compassionate. He would REALLY listen to any concerns you may have about any medication and took the time to explain the benefits and possible side effects, in a most comfortable and unhurried manner so you would understand. Was a very warm person and an extraordinarily caring doctor. He is truly missed.
May his family and friends find comfort in knowing that he excelled in what he did not only professionally, but also as a great human being.

I only knew Dr Forrest for a few years as my doctor. I had many rough times during those years and he always listened to me with deep understanding and concern for me. He helped me though those times and I will always be extremely grateful for his sincere support. The only reason I am still here now is because of him. The world truly needs more doctors like him.

We will deeply miss Dr. Forrest, he was my doctor for 15 years and I considered him a dear friend. I looked forward to his humor and smile when I came into the office. My husband also was a patient, and was very upset over his passing. We will miss him greatly, he was a very special person and took the extra time with his patients, he was worth waiting to see. My prays go out to his family.
Sincerely,
Richard and Debra McEachern, Sunrise, Fl.

My husband and I were moved beyond words. I had recently visited the office and he advised and encouraged much like a father or brother. We were fortunate to have him has a family physician and will miss him dearly. We pray that the family may be encouraged by these words: we loved him too.

My wife Lisa and I were not only shocked and stunned but very saddened by the untimely passing of Dr. Forrest. We both loved him very much and will miss him greatly! Lisa was a patient of Dr. Forrest's and told me I needed a doctor like him. Last year I went to see for myself why she was so pleased with him. From my first meeting, I could see why she liked him so much. He came into the examining room with a smile, a warm greeting and an air of confidence and kindness. He took the time and told me things I didn't want to hear but needed to hear about my diabetes and explained everything in terms I could understand. I told him I appreciated the advise and would fill my prescriptions. If it weren't for the kindness and compassion of Dr. Forrest and his wonderful staff, I would have just walked away and been ill the rest of my life. God has another great man by his side. They now can watch over his children and family together until they all meet again.

Dear Dr. Forrest-During my prayer group this evening a fellow member wanted to say special prayer for her Doctor; when she said your name-my heart sunk and the tears ran uncontrollably-as they continue to do. This is how I learned of your sudden death; I was and still am in shock. I am shattered.
I feel compelled to write to you-with great hopes that you hear my thoughts and prayers. To have known you as my Doctor was a privilege...to have known you as a human being... an honor. There will never be another physician to take your place...you had the grace and dignity of a Saint and the compassion, wisdom, and elegance of a Nobleman. You were one of the most charismatic and soulful gentlemen that I have had the good fortune to encounter.
I thank God- I had a scheduled appointment with you several weeks ago; we had the best conversation-about religion and life in general. We always had the best rap sessions! Your philosophies and knowledge always inspired me...you continuously treated me with the greatest respect and kindness. With all this said, you were the epitome of professionalism and the personification of the COOLEST, most caring Doctor ever!
My deepest sympathies are extended to your family and friends.
You are in heaven now and there will not be a day that goes by that I will not pray for you.
I will miss you terribly.
God Bless You,
Nadine

My husband and I were both devastated to hear about Dr. Forrest. I had changed my health plan so that I could be a patient of his. I had just seen him for my first visit. My husband had been going to him for years. I saw how much he liked Dr. Forrest and how he felt confident in his care. What a very sad and terrible loss to all. Our most sincere condolences go out to his family and staff.

Dr. Forrest was a great doctor. He literally saved my life one day when I went to him with a pain in my side. He stuck me in the side, I winched and he said "Mr. Clarke I think you should go to the emergency room". I did and it was my appendix. I will never forget Dr. Forrest. This was not a job for him. He loved what he did. He was truly compassionate and cared deeply for his patients. What a deep loss. My condolensces to the family. May you all continue this great mans legacy of love and care.

Dr. Forrest had been my family physician for over a decade and I will miss him truly. He has seen me fat and thin, healty and sick, single and coupled, childless and with child. He and his staff were a very important part of our adoption process. Dr. Forrest examined every part of us, from head to toe and signed and notarized papers for our international adoption approval process. He signed and re-signed and had notarized and re-notarized and then re-tested and all the while, he did it with a smile and said we'd make great parents and told us to keep up the faith. As we try to finish our second adoption, I will be sad that Dr. Forrest won't have the opportunity to see the full family he helped to create. God bless him, his family and his office family that's left behind.

Dr Forrest was our family doctor for so many years. He always had time for you. One of the most memorable moments was when my Mom passed away and he came to the funeral home at her viewing. We have lost someone special. Our condolences to the family. As the words of the song say "Eye has no seen, ear has not heard, what God has ready for those who love Him. Spirit of Love come give us the mind of Jesus. Teach us the wisdom of God" - The Chuckaree Family, Plantation - FL.

My mother (91 yeard old) visited Dr. Forrest every month. He and his staff did everything possible to make her comfortable and not sick. I also saw Dr Forrest for the past 10 years. I loved his wit and trusted his judgement to the max. I know I will never find anyone like him again.

Doc was one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I've known him since I was 16. He was the reason I went into the medical field. He was my inspiration because it was so rare to see a doctor who truly cared for his patients and took as much time as they needed with him and didn't care about the money.I never looked at him as just my boss, because he was so much more than that. He was a friend, a mentor, he was family. He was dedicated to his patients, staff, friends, family, most of all his kids. We spent many days talking on how he just wanted the best for them. Doc was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. He was one of a kind doctor and friend.

I am so very sorry about the passing of Dr. Forrest. He was my doctor for more than 10 years. He was always very very professional, compassionate, and understanding. He also was the doctor for several of my family members as well. I will never forget the respect that he and his staff always showed me each time I had occasion to visit or phone the office. I think God chose him specially to become a doctor. I will never forget him. God bless his family. I will keep them in prayer. May God strengthen and comfort his family during this extremely difficult time. I often derive comfort from Isaiah 61 during difficult times like these. May the family be strengthened by this and other scriptures as well.
