Gutowski, John F. (Red), 97, a resident of Ft. Lauderdale since 1970, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, and granddaughters Alison and Emily. He is survived by sons John (Eddie), Michael (Carol), Jeff (Greg), and daughters Judy (Mark), and Suzanne, grandchildren, Amanda (Wonjun), Rachel (Eric), Michael, and Christine, and great granddaughter, Mina. Born in Gary, IN, John and his wife Lorraine moved with their 5 kids to Ft Lauderdale in 1970, where he worked as a Realtor for most of his life. John was an avid sports fan, having been to his first White Sox game at 7 years old. He attended World Series games in 1959, 1997 and 2003. He loved to watch the Dolphins, Heat and Marlins. He loved fishing and the beach. There will be a private celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Animal-Aid, where Red adopted his loyal companion, Penny.
