Anette, Renae and Family
How can you sum up my friend Lenny’s life in a few paragraphs? You can’t but I’ll try. Lenny and I hung out together for the last 19 years. He went to high school with my uncle Harvey in Chicago way back in the day. Lenny would tell me stories about when he worked as a life guard on the beaches of Chicago’s Lake Michigan I heard he was a real ladies man! Lenny would tell me stories about running around in a gang with my uncle in leather jackets, greased back hair, cool 1950's stuff.
I met Len at a computer company in the early 90’s. He was a lot of fun to work with honest and straight to the point. Lenny liked watching the stock market, working out and staying fit, and was a spiffy dresser too. Lenny could do some really cool tricks with a yoyo. We would go and shoot pool, throw darts, he was a real sharp pool player! We always had a great time.
Lenny and I worked and hung out together until 2005 when he and Renae retired. Lenny planed his retirement with great gusto and excitement. He designed his home just the way he wanted.
Everything was perfect until a freak Florida tornado came and wiped his dream away in a split second. But he did not let a little twister deter him, he rebuilt his dream home and lived out the rest of his life with his family and friends close by. I will always remember Lenny as a friend and brother. I will miss him dearly.

To Renae, Annette and Family;

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Lenny. When I first was told how ill he was I was shocked and saddened.

I am an old friend from high school days. When Lenny and his family moved into the same apartment building as me in Logan Square, I was very fortunate to spend a lot of quality time with him. He was funny, kind, sincere and had a terrific personality. Lenny was a lot of fun to be with, had a great sense of humor and was a great friend.

I feel very fortunate that I was able to talk to him 3 or 4 times after I found out how ill he was. The conversations were kind of short but I felt good just having the opportunity to talk with him again even though the situation was so sad.

There are some people who wander thru our lives that we will never forget. Lenny will always be one of those people to me. Again, my sincerest condolences on your great loss.
