Lucy was one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. She was my dear friend for over 65 years, and I shall miss her greatly. There never was a more beautiful person in every sense of the word. My deepest sympathy to Maria and to Kristen as well as to all of Lucy's many family members all over the country. Memories of Lucy, like her music, will be with me as long as I live. Years ago when Lucy and I were young and we went to hear the great concert pianist Robert Casadesus, he shook hands with Lucy backstage and expressed his delight that she had the strong hands of a future concert pianist. She did indeed. She brought music into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Farewell, my dear friend. Your pal, Ginger in Pittsburgh, PA
