i was an inmate at pompano beach facility just back in october and I had the honor of Deputy Rein transporting me to court and in the short time i was with him he was respectful and seemed like a man who honored his job. My deepest sympathy for you and your family. During my more than 11 years at BSO, it being such a large department, I only met Paul Rein once. It was just a casual conversation at the North Broward Detention Facility. I had just started with BSO. I asked him about the requirements for becoming a prisoner transport deputy, and he responded. At first I wondered why I remember this otherwise meaningless conversation. But after hearing about the kind of person he was, now I know why. I think that it must have been in the way that he responded that made me subconsciously remember this simple conversation. Thanks Paul, as sincerity and courtesy is greatly appreciated. May god be with you.
