Paul Varner Obituary

Varner, Paul Ream, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on January 7, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his loving friend and companion of 34 years, Phyllis Allen. He was the devoted father of Carol Ann (Michael) Bonagura, PJ Graf, Michael Paul Varner and Jeffrey Milton (Lynn) Varner; loving grandfather of Kimber-lee Schwab, Jerome (Carol) Schwab, Mindy (Jeff) Grimming, Matthew Cody Varner, Shelby and Mia Varner; proud great grandfather of Dakota and Cassidy Schwab, Laura Rose, Jacob and Josiah Schwab and twin boys Andrew and Blake Grimming. He was born in Portage, PA on February 21, 1916, graduated from California College and taught Industrial Arts in Cresson, PA for 18 years. He moved to Florida in 1963 and continued his teaching career in Broward County for 17 years before retiring. Services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 SW 64 Avenue (Davie Road), Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317, 954-792-9360. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Varner's memory to Vitas Hospice, 1330 S. Andres Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. He will be missed by all who knew him.
