Raymond Galant Obituary
From 1961 until 1995, Ray Galant was the co-publisher of the Washington newsletter Food Chemical News, a leading source of information on federal regulation of food safety. A longtime northern Virginia resident, he was a vice president of the congregation at Temple Rodef Shalom and a member of the committee that opened its new synagogue in 1970.
A lifelong Chicago Cubs devotee, Galant led a fans' protest that persuaded Media General to abandon plans to drop the Cubs' TV station in 1988.
A graveside service will take place at 11am Wednesday, February 3 at King David Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association. Please view and sign the family guestbook at Jefferson Funeral Chapel

I want to send my sincere condolences to Raymond's family, especially Mark who was my classmate at TRS Sunday School and in my confirmation class. I remember Ray fondly as someone who always had a smile on his face and kind words to say.
