Thomas Thomas Obituary

Mr. Thomas T. Thomas 'Ted', 76, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at his home in Etowah, NC. Ted was born July 29, in Gouldsboro, PA. He was a long time resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL, where in 1974, he started his career with the Broward County Sheriff's Office. He retired as a District Chief, after 23 years of service. Ted also served three years in the United States Marine Corps. Ted was an American history and political enthusiast. He was a devoted athlete and liked to jog, lift weights, and play tennis at Holiday Park. Ted was a high-level chess player and president of the Vero Beach Chess Club for a number of years. He especially enjoyed dining out with family and friends. Ted had a lifelong passion for automobiles. Ted lived life his way. His parents, George Wolfe and Lois Lauderbaugh Thomas, preceded Ted in death. He is survived by his daughter, Lauri Thomas Marino of Sebastian FL, and her husband Daniel Marino, one grandson Daniel A. Marino, Jr., of Tampa, FL, and a brother Dayton Thomas, of New Port Ritchie, FL, and his three children living in Connecticut.
