Frances Eileen Sunday, 101, of Swanton passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at the Swanton Valley Center. She was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Swanton to the late Vern G. and Edna M. (Fleming) Robasser. She married John F. Sunday on Oct. 7, 1961, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1999.
Frances graduated in 1932 from Fulton High School, and was the oldest living graduate. She was a member of Ai Union Church. In her early years, Frances worked as an assistant manager at the Valentine Theatre. She also worked 15 years for A.D. Baker in Swanton as secretary to the president. She was known as a caretaker to many people in the area, especially devoting her time to her mother.
Frances is survived by a stepson, Larry Sunday; a stepdaughter, Martha Gerity; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two infant sisters and four brothers, John G. Robasser, Vern M. Robasser, Ronald R. Robasser, and Kenneth J. Robasser.
There will be no public visitation, and private graveside services will be held at South Swanton Cemetery, with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.
Arrangements are by Weigel Funeral Home.
