John Wesley Peters

January 15, 1938 - May 28, 2025

John Wesley Peters, 87 of Max Meadows, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mr. Peters was born in Roanoke, Virginia on January 15, 1938. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Peters and wife, Odessa Harmon Peters.

Survivors include his children, Wilma Peters Justus (Gyler), William J. Peters, Sr. (Elaine), Patricia A. Tuck (Walter), Alvin R. Peters, (Lynn Cadle), Michael D. Peters, Sr. (Donna), Elizabeth Brickey (Todd), and Robert Peters (Sandy); twenty grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several other family and friends.

A graveside service with burial was held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Melton Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
