Richard Pruitt Obituary
September 23, 1944 - July 9, 2021
Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dick served in the USAF for 20 years as an Intelligence Officer and then worked for Northrop Grumman until retirement in 2007. He was an avid record collector and Husker fan. Dick made friends everywhere he went and enjoyed keeping in touch with them.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Helen Pruitt.
He is survived by his wife, Avis; daughter, Rina Louise Pruitt; stepdaughters, Farrah Briggs, Lindsey (Mike) Kime, Kimberly Dawson, and Shana Dale; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother, Harold Pruitt of Salem, Va.; and sister, Irene Ferguson of Roanoke, Va.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 p.m. at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. A livestream link for the service will be on the funeral home obituary. Inurnment at a later date at Omaha National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Duet of Nebraska https://www.duetne.org.
