Andrew Forsyth Obituary

Andrew Joseph Martin Forsyth

Tallahassee - Andrew Joseph Martin Forsyth, 35, unexpectedly entered into heavenly rest on August 29, 2020. He was born July 26, 1985, in St. Augustine, Florida and moved to Tallahassee with his family in 1990.

Andrew graduated from Godby High School (2004) and Florida State University (2008). He worked for Winn Dixie and Whole Foods; moving back to Tallahassee from Clearwater in June to continue his career at the local Whole Foods where his boss said he was "a beacon of positivity."

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents Hugh and Joyce Forsyth and Albert and Gloria Leach.

Survivors include his parents, John (Skip) and Kathy Forsyth, his sisters Christy Diaz (Jesse), Joanna Forsyth, nephew Gabriel Diaz and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him beyond words.

Andrew enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was dedicated to his work. He was an avid disc golfer, kick baller, and FSU fan. Andrew was a handsome young man with a quiet faith in Jesus Christ, a calm presence, and was a generous gift giver, wonderful brother, beloved uncle, and loving son.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in his name to Life Bridge Church, 300 East Bay Dr., Largo, FL 33770 (lbcpinellas.com), or the American Heart Association, 2851 Remington Green Cir., Tallahassee, FL 32308.

A memorial service will be held at a future date. Please continue to check www.bevisfh.com for further information.

Skip and Kathy, it was an honor and a privilege to be able to attend the memorial service for Andrew via live stream. Even with the almost 1400 mile gap between seacoast NH and Tallahassee I was able to join my prayers to those present with you in the sanctuary of your church. The ceremony was a beautiful tribute to your son and to your family. The loving reflections offered about Andrew reflected a life well-lived and well loved. May your faith, friends, family and many wonderful memories bring you deep and lasting strength, comfort and hope in the difficult days to come. Be assured of our continued prayers for Andrew and your family.

Andrew was the son of a wonderful parents, Skip and Kathy. Skip was my supervisor, and I know if he was anything like his father, he was a good young man.

Skip and Kathy, our hearts ache for you and your family. Please know that we share the pain you are feeling over the loss of Andrew.
He was a wonderful young man, a credit to the great job of parenting that you did. I picture him always having a smile on his face.
I remember when he and my son Danny were on the cross country and track teams at Godby H.S. We would sit together and cheer them on at each meet. You were probably the most supportive parents in the stands. I don’t think you ever missed a meet! Now they are on God’s team, together again in His heavenly kingdom.
In the midst of your suffering, please consider that the outpouring of people around you, offering love and assistance in any way you need, are the “fingers” of God here on earth. I would wish that you be kind to yourselves, and let them be of comfort to you.
With heartfelt empathy

Andrew was a quiet teammate with kickball first and never wore cleats, even when muddy. He was always smiling and kind to me, and no I know not just because I worked with his mom for a bit when we first met, but because he was genuinely a nice guy. We had lots of fun adventures with Fun Krewe in WAKA and TKA! You will be missed! I’m sending lots of love and grace to your family.

Skip and Kathie in your grief please remember what a wonderful life you gave him and how much love you gave him. There is nothing I can say to ease your hearts right now except cling to each other, your girls and your faith in the Lord. Please reach out if you need anything. There are so many people who love you and will be there with whatever aid and comfort they can have to give.
