Ann Avirett Obituary

Ann Booth Avirett Ann Booth Avirett, 83, who had retired from the Florida Department of Agriculture after 35 years, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edgar L. Avirett Sr. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday at Nicholson Freeman Cemetery in Havana, located next to the Nicholson Farmhouse Restaurant. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel in Tallahassee (877-8191) is handling arrangements. She attended Andrew College in Cuthbert, Ga. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed artwork and painting and was a devoted wife and mother. Other survivors include a son, Lee Avirett (and wife Linda Frazier) of Tallahassee, and a grandson, Neal Avirett of Tallahassee.
