Barbara Lamb Brown

Crawfordville - Barbara Lamb Brown, 78, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Encompass Health and Rehab.

Born in Daleville, Alabama on April 2, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Mae Carter Lamb. She is also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Earl Hughes; and twin siblings, Robert "Bob" R. Lamb, Sr. and Robbie Faye Vann.

She moved to the Tallahassee area in 1970 and worked for many years as a warranty clerk at Courtesy Cars. She enjoyed traveling and watching the races; but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Donald W. Brown; sons, Doug Hughes (wife, Patricia "Dink"), Randy Hughes (Nicole) and David Brown (Katherine); daughters, Pat Akins (husband, Craig) and Wanda Shoemaker (husband, Mike); fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A memorial service is 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Abbey Funeral Home, with visitation immediately following the service. The online guestbook and live stream service can be found at www.abbeyfh.com.
