Christopher Plummer Obituary
Christopher Earl Plummer, 30, surrendered to God's will at home on Tuesday, 8/16/11. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Phillip AME Church, Monticello with burial at Bethpage Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is Friday 3-8 p.m. at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553.
Born in Ft. Benning, GA, Chris grew up in Wacissa and attended Jefferson County public schools, graduating high school in 1999. He studied computer programming at Lively-Voc Tech and had worked at Health South, Heavenly Hams, Community Action Agency and Mattox Law Firm. Although he faced countless challenges, Chris believed "the glass was always half-full --- never half empty". His indomitable spirit will always inspire us.
A talented drummer, Chris played for his church, Union Hill AME. He loved repairing computers and enjoyed performing at events as Deejay Krazy Chris.
Treasuring precious memories are his loving and devoted parents, Clifford E. and Joyce McDuffie Plummer of Monticello, FL; paternal grandmother, Annie V. Plummer and maternal grandmother, Corene Wilson McDuffie, both of Monticello; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Joyce and Clifford, I don't even know where to begin. My heart goes out to you both. You both know that Chris was my boy and I loved him as though he was my very own. We are so sorry that he has gone away to leave us, but as we keep God the head of lives we will see him again. This has been a very hard pill to swallow. Not an hour goes by without Chris on my mind, some laughter, some are tears. I enjoyed the talks and the texts in the night hours when he couldn't sleep (sometime). I really miss you, but God, Mr. Prefect, is in control. Take your rest Krazy Chris, "Playa Playa."

I'm really going to miss him, he was the type of person with an uplilfing personality and always eager help people and that's what I loved about him. He had a great heart and winning personality. Joyce and Cliff,
Chris touched all of our lives in ways we can't explain. Even Jakada talks about how much he misses him. We all loved him dearly and he will always live in our hearts. I know im late at submitting this post, but i would rather be late than not sharing my feelings about you at all. Chris you definitely made your mark in my life and in my heart. I remember when i met you at Healthsouth i knew i would enjoy my job. Not because of the work, but because i could look forward to you making me laugh everyday. We built a bond by the time i left there and i'll never forget the many times you came and got me off of campus my freshman year to take me and my friends to get food or to just get away and chill at your apt. I could go on for days about the many memories shared and the way you made me smile, but i dont have enough room. My son and Chris went to school together in Jefferson Co. I never met him but saw him at several school functions. I got to know Chris briefly in 2001 when I began working at Healthsouth just before he moved on to a new job. After reading the guestbook entries I see that I missed knowing a great young man. This all seems to be so unreal. Chris was such a talented, wonderful and fun loving individual. It is hard to accept the fact that he is no longer with us. I still can recall the day that we met in band class back in the fall of 1994. He was a person that never complained despite how many obstacles he faced. He possessed a real zest for life and found time to encourage others despite his own circumstances. I will miss the deep coversations and laughter that he has given. To Mr. and Mrs. Plummer,the entire family, and all of his many friends, I pray that you find strength and comfort in knowing that Chris is in heaven without pain or suffering. About how I didn't even have gas money. You offered me gas money but I declined I told you that GOD would make a way. Before you left you asked to use my restroom then left. Later that evening when I entered my restroom gas money was on the sink. MY GOD made away for me and through you one of his angels. God has only taken back what belong to him. We thank God that he allowed Chris to be a part of our lives for 30 years. He was so sweet, kind and I will never forget the joy and laughter he brought into my life. When I think about him all I can do is smile.
