Deborah Kay Hassig

Our beautiful angel, Deborah Kay Cayson Hassig, 53, Blountstown, left this heavenly earth on Saturday, October 31, 2015, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She entered the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her family.

Deborah was born on October 17, 1962, in Marianna, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Gerald Cayson Sr. and father-in-law Danny Marvin Hassig Sr. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Danny Marvin Hassig Jr.; her children, Adam Cayson Edwards and twins, Anna Elizabeth and Ayers Eubanks Hassig; her loving mother, Betty Ann Eubanks Cayson; her siblings, Dianne C. Lainhart and husband Paul of Lynn Haven; Albert Gerald Cayson Jr. and wife Janet of Tallahassee; Vicki C. Bennett of Blountstown, and close friend Jim Stefanoff of Dayton, OH. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Gail and Donny O'Bryan of Blountstown; sister in-laws and spouses, Kim and Alan Peacock of Altha; Wendy and Bud Guilford of Blountstown; Stephanie and Steve Armour of TN.

Deborah graduated from Blountstown High School in 1980. She was also a graduate of Troy State University with a BS in early childhood and elementary education. She taught school for over 25 years in the states of Hawaii, North Carolina, and Florida, where she earned the admiration and love of many students throughout the years.

Flowers will be accepted or donate to your favorite charity. Visitation will be at Peavy's Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4th in Blountstown, from 5 - 7 CST. The service will be held at First Baptist Church of Blountstown on Thursday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. CST. Interment will follow at Boggs Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.

Danny so sorry for your loss. She is no longer suffering. God wants to use her in Heaven now. I pray God gives you and your family strength and peace to get through this heartache. I will continue to keep you lifted in prayer.
