Amos was a true Southern gentleman. I had the pleasure of knowing him through the old USDA ASCS days. I also have a fond memory of our cooperation while he was the Ag Staff rep for the Florida House. We saved the State a bunch of money when the Legilature was considering enacting law to track foreign investment in ag land. USDA was already doing just that so we shared our USDA info with the State.
He will truly be missed.

Carl, I am so sorry to read about your loss. It is not an easy thing to endure when you lose someone you have loved and been so close to. I know from experience how you feel at this time, but your memories of all of the good times will help you through this.

Please accept my sincere sympathies to Mrs. Earline and the entire Sumner family. I remember all wonderful times with the Sumners, growing up in Leon/Liberty county. Uncle Amos was a wonderful man and an extraordinary southern gentleman. He was an exceptional friend to my father, JW Stoutamire. I will never forget his kindness and dedication to family and friends.
Sincerest sympathies,

Ms. Earlene, Mr. Ernie and famlies,
I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Amos's passing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the difficult days ahead.
Mr Amos was a kind and loving man and a true example of Christ. I will always remember all the revivals @ Grace and Wakulla UMC when Mr Amos and Ms Earline would visit. He would always greet us with a loving smile and a hug. He loved the Lord, his family and his church and was a Blessing to all that he came in contact with.
I know that even though you are grieving... "His loss is truly Heaven's Gain"! Today he is walking the "Streets of Gold" with Bro. Lister, Ms. Naomi and so many loved ones that were there to greet him. Again you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Mr Amos .... Welcome Home and We'll Meet you in the Morning!
With much love and my prayers,
Lisa

In My Pocket: I have memories in my pocket. They rattle among the change. My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go. They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole. They give me comfort when I think I am alone. Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there. But of all the treasures I have it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
Mrs. Earlene, Melba, Sally, Ernie, Archie and families,
