Elmer Adams

Elmer Adams, age 79, a retired printer living in Havana, Florida, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at a Hospice House in Tallahassee. He was a native of Niagara Falls, New York.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. Elmer was the faithful, loving husband of Mary Ruth (Reading) Adams for nearly 20 years.

Family and friends met for a memorial dinner on July 14, 2012.

He is survived by his brother Gordon Adams of Yucca Valley, CA; sister Patti Sikes of Osteen, FL; sister Marie Cothran of Eustis, FL; daughter Elaine Matthews of Orlando; daughter Lorraine Adams of Orlando; daughter Elizabeth Smith of Orlando and her husband Bill; son Steven Adams of Orlando; step-daughter Sheri Reading of Kennebunk, ME and her husband Bill; step-daughter Debra Reading of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren Ashlynn Hadd, Haley Hadd, Lauren Adams, Devin Adams, Trevor Adams.

We continue to miss our dear, sweet neighbor and all the calls and visits we shared. We look forward to the day we will see him in Heaven because of his trust in Christ the night before he died. We pray for God's comfort for all of Elmer's family.
