Elouise Dupont Obituary
Havana, FL - Elouise Lawson Dupont, 96, of Havana's Midway Community went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. Funeral services are 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). The widow of Ernest F. Dupont, a World War II Army veteran, Mrs. Dupont was a retired elementary educator of 43 years in the Broward County School System. She was meticulous in all that she did and began her Christian journey at St. John P.B. Church in Midway. In Broward, she had been a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and Mt. Herman AME Church before returning to Midway's St. Paul AME Church. Treasuring her love are her daughter, Patricia Dupont (Lawrence) Norton; five grandchildren: Dane Dupont (Nekia) Norton, Ernest F. (Shirleen) Dupont, Brandon Dupont, Maiya Norton and Darren Dupont; five great-grandchildren; brother, Langston H. Lawson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Mallory and Emma Beatrice Haygood Lawson; children: Ernest II, Ralph and Sonja Dupont Giles; and siblings: LT, RT, Dubb, Langston, Rachel, Annie Vernell Lawson, Clemonteese Faulkner and Alma Kurtz.
