James Laramore Obituary

James Lenwood Laramore ALTHA - James Lenwood Laramore, 81, a retired carpenter, died Monday, March 3, 2003, in Rome, Ga. The service will be at 11 a.m. CST today at Peavy Funeral Home chapel in Blountstown (850-674-2266), with burial at Laramore Cemetery near Altha. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CST Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Laramore was born in Marianna and had lived in Altha for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 89 in Mobile, Ala., and was a Baptist. His survivors include three daughters, Cathy Brock (and husband Steve), Gaynell Price (and husband Edward) and Rhonda Sharpe (and husband Steve), all of Rome; two brothers, Billy Laramore of Houston and Edgar Laramore of Panama City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Laramore; his father and mother, Fred and Lula Laramore; two brothers, Willard E. "Gene" Laramore and Raymond Laramore; and a sister, Lucille Barton Harvell.
