James Nash III Obituary

James Noel Nash III

Tallahassee - We lost a great man in Noel Nash. A man who lived each day "all in" with faith, family and friends. A man who set the example of what a husband, father and friend should be. A man who set the bar high for all of us, even while courageously fighting these last few years.

These were the words by friends upon learning that James Noel Nash III, age 46, had died on April 27, 2018 at Big Bend Hospice, after an extended illness.

Noel, as he was known by all, was born on December 2, 1971 to Jim and Claire Nash. He graduated Florida High School in Tallahassee, graduating in 1989, and earned his AA degree from Tallahassee Community College.

Noel worked a variety of jobs in Tallahassee. He began working in high school at Super Suds Car Wash to afford the upkeep on two beloved Jeeps. From there, Noel learned the art of customer service and began the start of a career that put his impressive people skills to work.

Church mission trips in high school to repair homes in the Appalachian Mountains planted the seed for a career in construction. Noel first formed Job Right, Inc. performing construction demolition, and then went to work for Arthur Rutenberg Homes. He worked briefly with good friend Jay Hatfield at Gamble and Associates Construction, and then spent several years as a construction superintendent with Tribune Homes. Following that, Noel formed TriCon Builders, and with partner Jason Crawford, Noel has spent his time growing TriCon into a company whose marks are service and integrity.

One of the best things to come from Noel's time at Super Suds was meeting his wife Susan. They married on May 17, 1997. Sons Carter James, born in 2002, and John Clayton, born in 2005, completed their family.

Noel loved the outdoors. Whether in the woods or on the water, Noel relished his time with his family and friends. But it was in the baseball community of Tallahassee that Noel made his biggest impact. His boys Carter and Clayton played on nearly every team their dad coached - rec ball teams with Chaires, Levy and Myers Parks, both sons' 8u-12u travel ball teams with the Tallahassee Heat, and the Demarini Southeast travel team for son Clayton this past year. The most memorable of their baseball experiences were trips to Cooperstown, NY when each son was 12, coaching their Tallahassee Heat teams at that "summer tradition" at Cooperstown Dreams Park.

Noel is survived by his wife of 20 years, Susan; sons Carter and Clayton; his stepmother Janice Nash, sister Sally Huggins (and husband Chip), brother John Apthorp (and wife Ashley), all of Tallahassee, and sister Susan Hemenway (and husband Jim) of Liberty, MO. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Ken & Sue Cannon, and brother-in-law Tim Cannon of Tallahassee, sister-in-law Rhonda Avery (and husband Garry) of Madrid, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Claire Nash.

A celebration of Noel's life will be held on Friday, May 4th at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church with visitation at Bevis Funeral Home on Thursday, May 3rd from 6-8 pm. Susie Mozolic of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements. (www.bevisfh.com 850-385-2193)

So Sad to Hear About NOEL...RIP...LOVE, PEACE, AND COMFORT TO THE FAMILY

Didn't kno you long but heard you fought a tough fight. Forever missed

Sally,

Many, many years ago, I was a neighbor of your parents in Parkhill. Claire and I would chat often over the back fence. I believe Noel was a baby, and you were probably a toddler. I knew your mother contracted cancer, and I went to the hospital to visit several times. Time intervened, and I moved away, and Claire and I lost touch. I regret that so much! She was a wonderful human being and mother. Please accept my sincerest condolences. My name at that time was Martha Brooks. Martha Brooks Fox

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

By Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Susan and family, many condolences and we will miss Noel dearly.

I had the honor of meeting Noel for the first time when he worked at Super Suds years ago. Although my son was never coached by him, I know he will be truly missed by all. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Susan, Carter and Clayton. Words cant express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing your husband/father for many years. I never met a more kind, loving or devoted family man. That character obviously carried over into his business life. Throughout his health struggles, he fought courageously and focused on his family rather than the struggle. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him. I hope youre able to find some comfort in the great memories that youll have forever as well as the great legacy that hes left you with. Hes a role model for all of us.
