Josie Rosier Obituary

Josie Bell Rosier Josie Bell Rosier, 85, of North Highlands, Calif., died Sept. 3, 2005. A home-going service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Trial Primitive Baptist Church, 1418 Sopchoppy Highway in Sopchoppy, with burial at Buckhorn Cemetery. Friends may send cards and expressions of sympathy to Strong & Jones Funeral Home, 551 W. Carolina St., Tallahassee, FL 32301 (850-224-2139). She was born to Rodian and Trave on Aug. 27, 1920, in Wakulla County. She was a devoted wife to George W. Rosier. She was a loving mother and grandmother. During her life, she worked as a beautician, substitute teacher, child-care providerand home-health aide. Josie also volunteered at local hospitals. She joined New Testament Baptist Church near Sacramento, Calif., in 1974. For many years she was an active member of a number of auxiliaries, including Senior Ushers' Board, Women's Mission and Women's Choir. She was also an avid Sunday school participant.

Remember that our prayers are always with you. Momma and Cousin Josie Bell both went on to be with the Lord in 2005. I can still vividly recall when Cousin GW and the family came through "Down Home" enroute from overseas to California. I remember you guys at church that day. Take care of yourself. May God continue to bless you and your family.
