Lily Frances Carraway Roberts

Lily Frances Carraway Roberts, 80, homemaker and teacher of young children, died Saturday, February 16, 2013.

There will be a graveside service to be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 20th at Sopchoppy Cemetery. There will be an opportunity for a visitation with family and friends one hour before the service at the Cemetery.

Frances grew up in Sopchoppy, Florida, and graduated from Sopchoppy High School. She married Richard Randolph Roberts, her childhood sweetheart. They lived in places around the world as a military family; finally retiring in Tallahassee, Florida where she attended and graduated from Florida State University.

Frances is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Randolph Roberts, Sr.; two sons. Richard Randolph, Jr.,( Jann) of Tallahassee; Michael Francis( Gina) of Houston, Texas; three granddaughters, Meredith Wheeler, (Drew) of Oakland, California; Allison Roberts of Houston, Texas, Kathleen Jarashow (Ben) of Provo, Utah; two grandsons, Nathan Roberts (Courtney) of Tallahassee, William Roberts of Houston, Texas; two great granddaughters, Ellie Roberts of Tallahassee and Vivian Wheeler of Oakland, California; one great grandson, Nolan Roberts of Tallahassee; five sisters , Bettye Roberts (Tommy Edwin) of Tallahassee, Jessie McMillan of Gulf Breeze, Sandra Crum (Bobby) of Tallahassee, Carolyn Suiter (Galen) of Quincy, Susan Limbaugh (Gary) of Crawfordville; three brothers, Ausley Carraway (Ann) of Seneca, South Carolina, George Carraway (Jill) of Westminster, South Carolina, David Carraway (Charlie) of Sopchoppy. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Forbes Carraway, her father Ausley Burl Carraway, Sr., her brothers, Cecil Ott Carraway and Bradham Forbes Carraway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Florida, 32328

When we visited Francis and Randolph's home in Mexico Beach, it was heartwarming to see all of the momentos from family members as well as all of the photos of good times shared. Francis embraced these memories and cherished her family. What a lovely person .
