Our deepest sympathies to the family. Even though we did not know Dr. Everett personally, we feel like we did though his daughter Geni, who many love and respect. Witnessing her qualities and kindness it is clear that he instilled in her many of the qualities he possessed himself.

It was my good fortune to teach with Pete Everett from his arrival at FSU in 1959 until my departrure in 1969. He was a gentleman and a scholar, respected and admired by students and faculty alike. He was a quiet and successful leader who left his mark on the students he mentored. Sincere sympathy to his family.

I remember Pete Everett as a cheerful, positive, helpful teacher who was a professional in every sense of the word...he even wore his honorary keys on his running shorts! He was one of the good guys...

Dr. Everett was an inspiration, to me, as a competitor and a gentleman. His friendship with my dad will never be forgotten. My prayers are for, and with, you.
