Phillip Moody Obituary
Phillip 'Phil' Michael Moody, Sr., age 60, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, August 18, 2017.
Phil was born on April 7, 1957, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but he called Fort Walton Beach his home for the majority of his childhood. Phil lived his young adult life in Tallahassee, and he spent his later years residing in Pensacola.
Phil was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Moody, his father, James Moody, and his brother Sonny Johnson.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Joylyn Moody, his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sara Moody, his sister, Yvonne Allenbrand, and his three grandchildren.
Per his wishes, Phil will be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 4:00pm-4:45pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Ct., Pensacola. A memorial service will begin at 4:45pm.

To my brother of another, You will be missed greatly, You were more than part of my life. Only a handful of people could make me laugh. This was only superseded by your tenacious twisting of my arm of do adventurous misfortunes at such an early age! Like driving to Louisiana at 2 a.m. just to see some friends for drinks..that was the easy part, but we had to do it in that damn SMALL m.g. of yours...Well to much fun, we were so tired from the drive we stayed 6 years...(with no luggage?)..Damn we had fun...dont worry wont say what type of fun? Will try to find Ted for you. R.I.P. my friend, no more pain

Phillip Moody Sr "Phil"remains in my mind one of the brightest minds that I have met in my 70 years
of living. "Phil" could give good advice on just about
any problem I faced. He was THE top car man of
many that I have known. He is and will remain
a high water mark of Kindness, Consideration and Generosity amongst Human beings. Phil was one Nature's truest Gentlemen. He cannot be replaced on Earth, but Eternal Life will be more Radiant now with the Great Soul of Phillip Moody Sr 's homecoming. We Love you Phil.

From my first date ever, at The Barrels in P'Cola with Phillip, to driving the same car he and Ross purchased for me at auction, the memories come flooding of a great guy; a handsome hunk who never failed to brighten the space he was in. Rest in peace, Phillip, and shine that fun spirit down on those that will surely miss you, including me.
