Grady, So sorry for your loss. I didn't really know Shirley because she was so much younger than me. I sorta knew you but then you were quite a bit older than I was. Annette was in my class at one time and Jeannette was younger than me. God Bless.

Hope in the end!

I met Mrs. Shirley about 2 1/2 months ago when I started working at George Monroe. I enjoyed working and talking with her each day. Her conversation was always about her family Malik & TJ (kids at school). Her hardworking and sweet spirit is already being missed. Family, God bless you. I will always keep you in my prayers.

Words don't come easy when you want to speak of Shirley. I am so sad but yet she is in heaven with her mom and dad and brother. I have known Shirley since elem. School. Walked home with her after school. Never has she ever been against anyone. I always remembered her as the truest and honest friend. Always had a hug and smile for everyone. I always had a home for her in my heart. RIP Shirley until we meet again. Love you.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Shirley's death. I will always hold fond memories of Shirley. Alice and I were best friends in school. for some reason her Daddy and Mama trusted me so I could pretty well talk then into letting Alice do things with me. She never got to go anywhere. There was always ONE litte catch...her mama said she could go with me IF...Shirley didn't cry. So Alice and I were pretty creative and thought of ways to slip off from Shirley. Sometimes though it wouldn't work, so guess what? We had to take Shirley along with us. So thoughts of Shirley always brings back pleasant memories. Happy Ones. She will be missed terribly. Thanks be to God. With Love

Shirley was a very special person. The children all loved Ms. Shirley. I know she was looking forward to retiring. I loved her and working with her. Now the Lord is telling her to rest not Mrs. Pinson. I think of her every time the radio plays her song on WPAP in the morning.
