Andrew P. "Cookie" Alvarez

> ALVAREZ, Andrew P. "Cookie," 83, of Tampa, passed away April 16, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Alvarez was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World Ward II and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Estella Alvarez; son, Andrew Alvarez and wife, Rita; daughter, Dina A. Perez and husband, Jesse; grandchildren, A.J. Alvarez, Dana Alvarez, Jesse Perez and Trina Perez Vichot and husband, Ricky; sister, Elba Garcia and several loving nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Thomas Stokes, SM, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow in Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Pallbearers include A.J. Alvarez, Jesse J. Perez, Ricky Vichot, Matthew Ferry, Dr. Tino Priede and Nilo Priede. Honorary pallbearers include Joe Dorio, Wayne Santos, Joe Yglesias, Richard Fidalgo, Dallas Baker and Frank Traina. Please omit flowers, donations may be made to O.L.P.H.
