Philip "Tony"

a proud veteran of the United States Marines, passed away after an extended illness on June 23, 2025 at the age of 77 in St. Petersburg, FL. Born on January 26, 1948 in Corpus Christie, TX, the son of Anton P. Froelich and Harriett H. Froelich, he grew up in Tampa, FL graduating from Robinson HS. Tony enlisted in the United States Marines in 1967 and proudly served in Vietnam. Following his service to his country, Tony worked for GTE phone company until he retired. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and grew up playing softball, golf, scuba diving and going to the races in Sebring, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolee Lindsey. He is survived by his son, Anton "Chip" Froelich (Tasha); two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Katie; nephews, Steve, John; niece, Melanie; and devoted friends, Deanna Russell and Rosemary Knorowski. Service will be Friday, August 15, at 9 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.
