Brian,
We miss you man! Not a day goes by that we don't think about you. I know that you are in a better place now. You are happier. But you are missed. Thanks a million for helping out with my horse. I still think about the good days in high school. Your were one of a kind.

To the Wade Family,
Brian was a great guy!! I know you miss him. Everyone does. Hang in there and remember that John is always there for you when you need him.

Bri
I will miss you so much and will so many others. You never asked for so many big sisters.... but you got them anyway!!!! I watched you grow from a boy to a man. Every time I saw you, I just could not believe how "big you got". In my eyes you will always be the little brother I never had. I promise to you that I (and all the girls) will always take care of your sister and your family. The last 11 years I have had the pleasure of becoming a part of the Wade family. Steph is the best big sis in the world (MOM #2) Boy, I know she didn't make it easy sometimes (that's what sisters are for). She loves you so much and always will. I have always admired the relationship that you and Steph have. We have so many memories and I will miss you everyday. I can't wait to see you again Brian. But,s until I do I will know that you are looking down on us laughing about the consistent drama that you always knew was ridiculous with us girls. Just remember I don't really love the outdoors so make sure there is a great condo waiting for me next to your barn:)
Love the big sis you didn't ask for

We will be here for you always!!!! Thank you for making us a part of such a great family.

Dear Wade Family--

Jade and Jared called me to tell me about Brian. We were all very saddened to hear the news and are so very sorry for your loss. It just doesn't seem real. I didn't know Brian real well so I don't have any funny stories to share (although I'm sure Jade and Jared would have stories for days and have us laughing til our sides hurt), but the 3 things that stick out in my mind are his smile--it could light up a room; his manners and respect for others(something not real common any more); and that he was the "spittin image" of his Momma. After reading some of the other entries, it appears I'm not the only one who feels that way. :)

Please know that you are in our prayers and on our hearts during this trying time. The sun WILL shine again....we never see a rainbow til after the rain.

Take care.

To the Wade Family,

I know the pain and agony you are going through. My nephew passed away in May just before he turned 4 months old. No one knows what it is like to lose your son/daughter except someone who has lost theirs. My prayers are with your family and I will be sure to have my bible fellowship class at Idlewild pray for your family as you go through the roughest time of your life. I only have a few memories with Brian from school but will cherrish them. He was a great guy who helped me out greatly and I will never forget him.
I found a cross that has helped my family cope when my nephew passed.
It reads: God looked around His Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon His earth and saw your loving face.
He saw your path was difficult and he closed your weary eyes. He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For a part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
I hope this helps your family as it has helped ease the pain in our family. May God be with you and yours.

Let me tell you folks
Who have gathered here today
That I'm a proud and thankful cowboy who has just passed away.

I know it's hard but, please don't cry Fer I'm now ridin' Gods trails high upon the sky.

The horse I'm ridin' now don't spook, buck, or kick Fer God stables perfect horses and now I have my pick.

Lord, please forgive me of all my sins Fer I haven't been perfect but I know that he who believes in you forever wins!

To My Cousin:
You were more than just a cousin to me, you were my brother. We have been together since we can remember. I would not trade any of our moments for nothing. Clay, Steph, you and I were something wasn't we? My favorite story is the cow story, when we were at the barn on High Tension Ranch... I still laugh until this day about you roping that cow and it dragging you all over that arena. I want you to know that I love you so much. I know now that you will be watching over me and when I need to talk I can always call on you. When its my time to come to heaven I will see you then. We can get on the horses and ride forever in the wind. I love you always and you will always with in my heart.

Love Always

Hi cuzz...I don't know where to begin. There are so many good memories that come to mind when I think of you. All of those years I waited so anxiously waiting for the summer so I could see you and Steph. We had so much fun ...so many laughs, tears when we said goodbye at the end of the summer and even little fights. But in the end you were like the little brother I never had. You are an amazing person. I know for the past couple of years we haven't stayed in touch that well and I regret that now but makes me realize to never take life for granted. You're the best and I'll see you one day in heaven. So get the horses and the four wheelers ready because we're going to take off.

I am so lost and I feel so empty inside but such a great joy to have had you in my life and shared so many great memories with each other.
We were defintely the four amigos every year. WOW! Such great times!!!

I love you bro!!!
You will be missed but we'll see each other again one day!!

When we said goodbye at the end of the summers I thought were the hardest but........

I love you Brian! You're the greatest and always will be.....

You'll be missed!!!

I cannot find words to express fully my brokenness of heart over your loss.

Dear Wade Family,
You don't know me. My name is Terri Goldstein. I am writing to extend my deepest condolences on the loss of your son, Brian. I want to let you know that when things quite down and people are busy with their lives that there are others in this world to help you. My husband, Jeff, and I lost our son Justin last November 14 He was 20. He also played baseball at Citrus Park Little League. That's how we heard about your son. I want you to save my email address for the time in the middle of the night when you need someone to talk to. Many say that time heals all wounds and that grief is best healed by time. However, in my opinion, it is what you do with that time. Live your life moment to moment. Fulfill your responsibilities, Brian would expect you to. Love and serve others and you will begin to heal. G-d Bless you and Brian.

Brian,
The last several years I have enjoyed getting to know you and watch you grow. I am sure there were times you really wished you did not have all of us girls as your big sisters, but we all had the best of intentions. You will never be forgotten! You always had the biggest heart and were one of the most caring man I ever knew. I will make sure your family is always protected and taken care of. I love you and will miss you dearly. One day you will be able to tell everyone in Heaven how I tried to beat you up. :) I am sure you have found the perfect place for you up in Heaven and will be patiently waiting your family and friends. I love you and will never forget you.
Love always,

I am absolutely heart broken to hear about Brian. He was a true gentleman. A few months ago you got a call from me on a Sunday morning frantic looking for Brian. You graciously went and brought him the phone (still half asleep) and he walked me through what to do with a horse I believe was colicing. I was a volunteer at the time at in the breeze and he went out of his way to not only find us a vet, he also later came out to the ranch to check on the horse and stayed with us for hours. I had to make a sudden move to Nevada when my mother-in-law became ill back in July and later passed away. Brian was always leaving me voiced messages and text messages checking in with me to see how my family was doing. I had the pleasure of knowing Brian for only a few months however, words can not explain the impact he had on my family's life and the way he jumped right in to help out with our Christian mission volunteering at the horse ranch in Tampa. We talked often of his faith the many long days and evenings we spent together a few months back. He was truly a genuine gentleman and a good Christian soul. I feel very blessed to have met and been a part of Brian’s life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.

September 9, 2008

I met Brian about a year ago, through my daughter, Sara Stonebraker. From the moment I met him, he left me with a lasting impression of the goodness he had in him. Each time he would come by here to visit Sara or to pick her up, he was always such a gentleman with a huge smile. Often, I would watch them leave in his truck and I would see him outside cleaning his truck out in a hurry, before letting Sara get in,even wiping the seat off for her with a rag and sometimes would give her an old "Tshirt" of his for her to wear so she would not get her clothes dirty. It always touched my heart deeply and I would think "what a southern gentleman" Another good impression that I was left with, was that Sara was always telling me how Brian was always apologizing for his "rough hands" and Sara would tell him, that was one of the things that she loved about him the most, that his hands showed that he was a hard worker and she told him to never apologize for being a hard worker. Brian's passing on has saddened us deeply. We are grieving, but we know he is with the Lord. Brian will always be remembered and loved by us. Sara's Mom, Angela

Dear Ed and Debbie,
We have never met, I'm Shannon and Reid's mama. I had the pleasure of meeting Brian when he spent the summer in York. I know you are proud of him and you should be...you couldn't help but like him...he had a heart of gold the size of Texas, and oh, what a SMILE!! He loved horses and he couldn't have been in a better place. We all love them too and he helped ride a young mare I was trying to break. I feel blessed to have had a brief meeting with Brian. God gave you an assignment when you had Brian and you accomplished what he intends for us all to do, and that is to give them wings!! No doubt in my mind we will see him again!! My love and prayers go out to you during the days ahead....just hold tight to your wonderful memories of Brian who touched so many lives!!!

Brian,

Little brother, I am going to miss you terribly. There are so many memories that come to mind anytime your name is even brought up. I want to thank you for giving me the chance to know what it is like to have a little brother. Your HUGE heart has amazed me since I first met you when you were 9 years old. It is no surprise to me that you have touched so many people and have been able to share your heart and great spirit. I know you are at peace and each and everyone of us down here will see you again one day.

Just remember, one day when we meet again can ya please save me the slow old horse who likes to stop and eat a lot?? I am not much of a cowgirl!

We are so happy that Brian knew we loved him. We were overjoyed to know that his Eternity is in Heaven! Thank you Lord for letting us have this wonderful Man for even a very short time.
James 4:14 says You don't know what will happen tomorrow. What is life? You are a mist that is seen for a moment and then disappears.
__________

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;

and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.

When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.

But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!"

And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas,

and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

What must I do to be saved? This is the most important question one can ask, for the answer one receives and accepts will make the difference between being lost and eternally separated from God, or having eternal life and fellowship with God. Fortunately, this question is asked and answered in the the Word of God, the Bible.

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

To which the preachers said:

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."
(Acts 16:25-31)

This is God's plan of salvation, which is the only plan He has given so that sinners can be saved... and Brian knew it and accepted this Gift of God.
So we'll get to see you again Brother!

My friend Brian

Loss, sadness, grief and sorrow,
I want to wake up tomorrow
From this nightmare.

He was a friend to many
A son and a brother.
There will never be another
Like him.

He loved his Mother,
Father and sister.
County music,
Horses and chew.

Yes, my friend Brian was
Country through and through.

I’ll miss his smile, his laugh
His kindness to strangers.
He never, ever saw any danger,
Only brightness and light.

So it just seems right,
To remember
All the times we shared,
Together as friends.

You see, I know our friendship
Will never end,
But go on forever.

In another time and place,
I will see him again.
This young man,
My friend Brian.

oh beautiful brian!!! did you see me cry today? did you feel my body wracked with the pain of having to say goodbye to you? i never wanted to say goodbye...
my heart is sobbing to see you just one more time, to tell you how much i loved you. maybe you know now, looking down from Paradise. i hope you are smiling...i close my eyes and listen for the sound of your voice to tell me it will be alright, not to cry anymore- that there is no pain where you are now. speak to me, brian, as i need to hear your voice just one more time. i love you so!!!!

We were so extremely sad to hear about Brian. We were just recently introduced to Brian because our regular farrier was sick and our horse's feet became overgrown. (You have to know that we had been using the same farrier for the past 4+ years and our horse always had to be "lunged" first and held while the farrier went to work) Brian came out and immediately our horse went to him, nudging him like he had just found a new best friend. Awestin stood still and did so well during his first session that we wondered who this horse could possibly be. Needless to say.. we loved Brian's work and our horse, who had horrible feet prior to Brian's work, has stayed barefoot and thrush free for the past 6 months. We are thankful for his work, his conversation (my son loved talking to him about cars and his motorcycle), and his skill. We were truly blessed to have known him! Because of Brian we now know what excellent hoof care looks like. Brian will always remain our hero and we will be lost without him.

"Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away into the next room,
I am I and you are you;
Whatever we were to each other, That we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used,
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well."
(Henry Scott Holland, Canon of St. Paul’s Cathedral, London)

Brian,

I have to say good bye and its the last thing I thought i would ever have to do!! i dont know where to begin... i didn't really know if i would ever see or talk to u again but i never thought i wouldn't be able to if i tried!!! every one on here talks about your smile, it just makes u feel so at ease and comfortable. Shannon told me to just thank God that u seasoned my life, and you truely did!! But God knows what he is doing and he put you in my life for a reason and he took u out for one too. Those few summers and even that winter Ashley, clay, and i came to visit u and steph i had the best time and they will be times i will never forget!!! I felt like i had always known u and when we had to leave from eachother then, it was one of the hardest things i ever had to do!! It was leaving the unknown that worried me and now u leaving has just been so sad, so so sad!!! But this time its not that I'm scared of the unknown because now I know I will see that fun loving person again with our GRACIOUS FATHER one day!!! I love u and will think of u always!! love always Reid

Dear Brian,
I will miss you so much. It is painful to think that even though I didn't see you that often, I could dial up my "little cowboy" and talk. You were such a sweet kid and had a smile that would warm my heart. It will not be the same around here without you. You were very special and Ice will miss your visits. I will always smile remembering your first ride on him. No bucks just a flat out run in the round pen that turned you as white as a sheet. You were so funny that day. I just can't believe your gone, its not fair. Your Friend ALWAYS! Holly

Dear
Mr. and Mrs. Wade,
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Brian had to be very special because he was raised by an amazing woman and a wonderful man who has touched so many lives in such a positive way. We don't always understand why things happen. My grandmother once told me when she lost her daughter that her faith in God was the only thing that got her through lossing her child. Brian is home now with the Lord and is basking in his love. There are many many people who love you and are praying for you and your family.
We Love You!

Ed and Debbie, We're so sorry and I'm praying for your understanding. God was ready for Brian's arrival, and realize how hard it is to accept. Our children went to school with your children at Sickles and it just breaks my heart thinking about your loss. It just seems like yesterday, watching them, as the active parents we were, at the many school activities they were involved in. God bless both of you, Stephanie and her husband, and all of your family. As promised, you'll meeting again someday.

DEAR DEBBIE & ED,

WE CAN NEVER EXPRESS THE SORROW THAT WE FEEL AT THE PASSING OF BRIAN FROM THIS WORLD. WE HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF BRIAN AND GAVIN TOGETHER THROUGH THE YEARS PLAYING BALL. BRIAN WAS A DEAR BOY AND A SWEET YOUNG MAN WHO WAS ALWAYS VERY POLITE AND WELL MANNERED. YOU ARE PROUD OF HIM AND YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE PROUD OF HIM. BRIAN WAS A GOOD FRIEND TO GAVIN AND A JOY TO HAVE IN OUR HOME. NOW ALL THE WORDS PEOPLE ARE SAYING TO YOU ARE HARD TO HEAR. BUT IN A FEW WEEKS FROM NOW PLEASE REREAD ALL THE NOTES AND MESSAGES THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOVED BRIAN WROTE FOR YA. PLEASE TAKE COMFORT IN THAT BRIAN IS LOVED BY MANY AND HIS LIFE HAS TOUCHED EACH OF US IN SUCH A WAY AS WE ARE BETTER PEOPLE BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN APART OF OUR LIVES. MAY GOD GUIDE AND COMFORT YA.
