Carol BARNDOLLAR Obituary

BARNDOLLAR, Carol Toula

70, of Odessa, FL, went to be with God, peacefully at 3:30 pm, April 3, 2017. Lovingly by her side was her husband of 45 years, Hugh; her children, Belinda, Stephanie, and Hobby, and their spouses. She was always proud to bring her family together.

The highlight of her life was her grandchildren. She rarely missed a baseball game, tennis match, birthday party, or school event. Avery, Hallie, Evan, Bo, Stone, Cole, and Landon will miss her terribly.

Carol obtained her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Maryland and Master's of Education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to moving to Florida, she taught physical education to the deaf at Gallaudet College. Hugh and Carol built their dream home in Odessa in 1995. You could always find Carol working in her beautiful yard, getting it ready for the next big gathering of family and friends. She was an amazing athlete her entire life, even into her final days she was playing basketball, bouncing on the trampoline, and water skiing with her grandchildren.

Our special thanks to Trinity Memorial Cardiovascular ICU team who was compassionate, respectful, and accommodating of the many family good byes.

At her request, there will not be a formal service, rather her ashes will be spread at her home on Lake Anne, in a small, family ceremony. While our time with her was cut short, we are comforted to know we will have an eternity with her in Heaven. Memorial donations in memory of Carol may be made to Idlewild Baptist Church, Care of: Carol Barndollar/Mission Ministry, 18333 Exciting Idlewild Blvd., Lutz, FL 33548.

Carol was a devoted member at Idlewild Church. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

Dan and I send our deepest sympathy to the Barndollar family. We were lucky enough to know Carol through Stephanie as we are neighbors and friends. Carol had a way of making you feel like family from the moment you met her. Her kindness, sense of humor, and pure lighthearted spirit drew you in and made you feel at ease. She had the best stories and a contagious laugh! We feel honored to have shared moments and memories with Carol and witness the special bond she had with her grandson, Landon. She was the best Grammy around! We will miss her dearly. And we pray that all who loved her find peace in knowing that she loved and was loved greatly.
