Carol Thigpen Obituary

THIGPEN, Carol A. (Busch), 72, of Lake Placid, Fla., died at her daughters home in Jacksonville, Fla., Monday, October 19, 2009. She was born May 16, 1937, to Ms. Lilian and Charles Busch in the Bronx, N.Y. Carol came to Lake Placid in 1999 from Miami, Fla. Carol was employed by the Lake Placid Publix for the past 15 years in their bakery department. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and an active member of the Lake Placid Womens Club and loved arts and crafts. She attended St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Carol is survived by her children, Leeanne Mounce of Jacksonville, Fla. and Edward G. Prat of Miami, Fla.; siblings, Eugene Busch of Long Island, N.Y. and Maryland Sweeney of Woodstock, Ga.; four grandchildren; and she was blessed with a great-grandchild. The family members will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the loving devotion of Michael A.
