Charles Cothran Obituary

COTHRAN, Charles C. 58 of Clearwater passed away peacefully at Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park on May 17, 2011. He was born in Salisbury, MD and resided in Clearwater for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Royal and Mabel Cothran and sister, Beatrice Leah Frizzell. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Kyle Webster Cothran, daughter Katie, son Casey and grandson Ethan Guardiola as well as his brothers, Jim Maynard, Jerry Frizzell, Howard Cothran, Roy Cothran and his extended family. Before retirement Charlie was a teleservice representative at Social Security Teleservice Center in Tampa. Prior to his illness he worked part time at Publix where he made many friends. He enjoyed a good cigar while listening to his favorite music, working on his boat models, fishing and working in the yard. Charlie had a great sense of humor and loved practical jokes. He was very loyal to his family and friends and will be deeply missed. A Memorial service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on Saturday, June 4 at 2 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa 33635. His family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's memory to Suncoast Hospice.
