Dear Daddy,
It's Christmas, but it's not... Your gifts for your kids were under the tree, just as you asked. The first year they didn't have to wait for you to open their presents. The first thing I did was make your coffee. I know that "this too shall pass", but my heart is broken. Today, I'm all by myself, no matter who's here. I'll never forget your voice, your smile, your smell, your sense of humor, but most of all how much you loved me. I'll never let your kids forget you. You were the smartest person I have ever met. Luckily, I had a lot of time to absorb all of your wisdom and will gladly share it. I love you so much, Dad. I miss you every second of every day. Can't wait to be in your arms again. Merry Christmas.
Love Always Your Daughter,
Heather

I was so saddened to hear of Charles' passing. He was such a gentle man, and a real gentleman! I am fortunate to have gotten to know him, and Sam. He will be missed...I know I will miss hearing "Hey, Sal" whenever he called.
My heart goes out to all of the family.

Sincerely,
Sally (at Anclote Animal Hospital)

Dear Heather,
I am not sure if you would remember me but I met you years ago at R&R's in Stamford. I remember your Dad talking about you endlessly, he loved you so much. I admired the love and admiration he had for you and it made me smile when he spoke of you. He was like a father figure to me for years, always having wise words of wisdom. He was truly a special man that I loved dearly. I was so sad to learn he had passed, just thinking of him a week or so ago... I spoke to him a few years back when he called me out of the blue, I was so happy to hear from him. I feel lucky to have known and loved him and will always remember the laughs we shared, he was so easy to love. I know he is looking down on all of us with a cigar in mouth and a smile on his face. Truly a gentle giant. My thoughts are with you and your family. He is with his buddy Bobby again, sharing laughs once again.

I know how hard this is for you, but know that I am always there for you and the family! Take it from someone who knows, the sadness never goes away, but it does get easier to cope with time.
Your kids are blessed that they had a relationship with their grandpa even though it was for a short time. That's something that some of us never had or will ever have!
Your dad was one of a kind and will be missed greatly. I could always count on him to put me in my place and that's probably why I was nervous to be around him! LOL
I love you and if you need anything I am here. Aunt Kim

Charlie was more than my kids grandpa,he was a one of my best-friends.
We didn't like each other much in the beginning, but i think we got over it at some point.
I will miss the way we talked about people and life.
I will miss talking movies with him
I will miss the sloppering dog.
I will miss the phone calls asking to come over and clean the dog.
I will miss him.
Goodbye Charlie see you on the other side.

To Heather and Family,

I did not know your Dad but he sounds like a very special man who loved life and people. There are no words that will help you through the pain you are feeling, but I have learned that knowing that your loved one will always be with you in your heart helps me daily. God has prepared a special place for your Dad so have peace knowing that he is so full of life today and free of all illness. May our heavenly Father wrap His loving arms around you and your family and bring you through this time.

God Bless You,

To my loving family:
Charlie was my other dad, always there to help push me through any of my obstacles in life. Even though I have known him for only 11 years, it seemed like a life time. To be able to enjoy watching him spend time with my children at all the holidays, birthdays, and of course when he would just drop by with a dozen dunkin donuts, everyone always enjoyed his sense of humor. We had a lot in common in the things we did to the people we loved, and no matter what, I would never change a thing about him. He was a man of great character and was willing to share his wisdom with any and all he shared his life with. I'll love him always and know he's close by in our hearts looking after us all. From my family and me, he will always be missed. We love you dad!
Sicerely,
Steven Hart!

To the Family of Charlie Fraser:
Just a short note to express my condolences for your loss. I'm a student nurse who cared for Mr. Fraser several times at Helen Ellis. I don't usually make it a practice to get involved on a personal level with patients but with him it couldn't have been any other way. He was a very sweet and caring man. He told me he'd leave this world with absolutely no regrets except that he hated leaving his siblings, children & precious grandchildren behind.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. I only regret knowing him for only a short time.
Sincerely,
Deborah Mays SLPN

I am a student nurse and would like you to know that it was an honor to know and care for "Mr. Fraser" while he was at Helen Ellis Hosp. He reminded me in so many ways of my father in law who also has passed. He made it such a pleasure to spend time with,I know he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, may you always keep the wonderful memories of him in a special place in your heart.
