Charles Turnipseed Obituary

TURNIPSEED, Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Charles E., 80, of Tampa, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1944 and proudly served his country all over the world in the U.S. Air Force for 33 years as a senior command pilot. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Bobette, and his three children, Janet James, Edward Turnipseed and Teresa Morgado; his brother, Lawrence L. "Jack" Turnipseed Jr.; his sister, Christine Levine; and two grandchildren, Brittany and Melissa Morgado. Visitation will take place 11 a.m-noon Friday, November 9, 2007, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with full military honors. Please sign the online guestbook at www.blountcurry.com

Dear Aunt Bob,Janet,Edward,and Terri,
Darrell and I just wanted you to know how sorry we are about Uncle Turnip. He was always such a strong figure in the family. I was always so excited to see all of you when you would visit Paden. Uncle Turnip was a very kind, loving person. He always let me know that I was important to him and I loved him very much.
