Damon Desautel Obituary
passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.
Born on September 23, 1969 in Providence, RI, he was the son of Mary Catherine Fernandes (Foley) and the late Robert Desautel.
Damon attended Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts. He worked in all aspects of the hospitality industry for many years in both Rhode Island and Florida before transitioning into real estate. Damon was the founder of Tampa Bay Business Group which specialized in business brokerage, commercial real estate and liquor license sales. He excelled in brokering many restaurants in the St. Pete Beach area with his outgoing personality and expertise in the culinary world. He was recognized as a top broker by Business Brokers of Florida for over a decade.
Damon had a passion for cooking and entertaining for his family and friends, especially during the holidays. He was a great friend to many and had a gift for making others laugh with his quick wit and humor. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and making memories with friends especially to Costa Rica and Columbia.
Damon is survived by his mother, Catherine Fernandes; his brother, Robert Pesare; and his adored daughter, who was the light of his life, Lexi Desautel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Bilmar Resort St Pete Beach from 5 – 8 pm.
