Daniel SCHULZ

1953 - 2023

SCHULZ, Daniel Rodney of Dunedin, Florida, born September 14, 1953, in Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey, to Carl A. Schulz and Lillian H. Schulz (Yearicks), really, really retired on February 22, 2023. Dan is survived by two children, Daisy Renee Schulz, of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Daniel Earl Schulz; two brothers, John R. Schulz (Hudson Falls, New York) and Carl A. Schulz Jr. (Lake Mary, Florida); sister, Carla Jean Schulz (Pinellas Park, Florida); and seven nieces and nephews. In 1971, Dan claimed Florida as his home state and always lived near Honeymoon Island, his happy place, where he would walk for miles. The 1970's was the beginning of the digital electronics era. Dan was a prolific designer of electronic circuits and was issued many patents. He designed and/or worked on products in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. In 1982, Dan opened an electronic manufacturing plant specializing in making reproduction parts for antique car and truck radios. Today, Antique Automobile Radio, Inc. is one of the leading brands in the industry. His work was certainly his passion. Even though he was semi-retired, Dan was still actively coding and keeping himself busy with new designs and projects. Other hobbies included raising a substantial population of Pinellas county's butterflies in his gardens, reading to expand his vast interest in technology and the universe, and spending time with his loving friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A memorial service will be held on a later date.
