Elizabeth Logue Obituary



LOGUE, Elizabeth Betty L., 87, of Plant City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on her birthday, October 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Gerald E. Logue, with whom she founded The Deliverance Tabernacle. She served her country during World War II, in the Navy as a WAVE (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) from January 1942 until October 1943. Betty was a loving, giving person who baked pound cakes and cookies for everyone she knew. She regularly visited people in local nursing homes until she was well into her eighties. She is survived by her children, Maribeth L. Mobley, Ginny O' Neal and her husband, Johnny, Joe Logue and his wife, Mary, and Martha Huard and her husband, Harold. Betty is also survived by her brother, James Morgan and his wife, Linda; seven grand-children; six great-grand-children; and two sister-in-laws, Libby Keegan and Retta Brock. Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 28,

at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 County Road 39 S., Plant City. A celebration of life will take place at

10 a.m. Friday, October 29, at The Deliverance Tabernacle, 808 W. Grant St., Plant City, with the Rev. Rillene Hyde officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens, Plant City. Flowers will be accepted or friends may make memorial donations to LifePath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Parkway, Suite 100, Temple Terrace, FL 33637 or to The Deliverance Tabernacle, 1308 S. Waller St., Plant City, 33563.

Ms Betty, we loved you dearly. I know Preacher was real excited to greet you in Heaven. Our Dee Dee is also waiting with open arms because you were so special to her and her to you. To all you left behind, we truly know the pain that they are feeling and our hearts and prayers are with them. We love you so much.
