Felix LoCicero Obituary

LoCICERO, Felix, M.D., 71, passed away September 26, 2005, surrounded by his wife, Ann, and children. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Josephine LoCicero. Dr. LoCicero was born December 26, 1933, in Ybor City, the son of Joseph and Josephine LoCicero. A graduate of Jefferson High School, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa and his Medical Degree from the University of Miami. He practiced internal medicine and nephrology in Tampa for 38 years. Dr. LoCicero was instrumental in bringing the first dialysis units to Tampa. His passion for medicine influenced many younger doctors through his leadership and mentoring at Tampa General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann Dessy LoCicero; his brother, Anthony LoCicero; his children, daughters, Devoney and husband Vincent Bedami, Karon and husband Nicholas Galantino, and Cindy Runyan, and sons, Joseph and wife Jacquie LoCicero, and Steven and wife Julie LoCicero; and grandchildren, Me linda, Sharon, Britney, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Kendall, Michael and Dante. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Friday at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. A Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005, at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
