I just found Frank's obit. There was an Orlando Sentinel softball reunion recently and it make me think of Frank. I worked with Frank - and played on the Sentinel softball team with him for several years. To say he was passionate about the game...and a larger than life individual would be an understatement. He was a gifted athlete and many of us fed off his bravado - the guy always wanted to win. I lost track of Frank over the years - but will never forget playing the game with him. RIP Frank.

More about Frank
In addition to his Newspaper career and devotion to his loving wife , Esther, Frank had another career which he enjoyed immensely, that being his position with The Pasco County School District. Frank often talked about how he looked forward to going to work everyday and interacting with the members of his team. As a Manager of a variety of operations within the District , he took his job very seriously and handled it with much enthusiasm, proficiency, camaraderie and dedication.
In his retirement he really missed his job at the District as evidenced by the numerous times he talked about in such positive terms.
We miss you Frank, God bless.

Frank was a terrific guy who loved sports which he was actively engaged in throughout his life. Back in his high school days at DePaul Academy in Chicago he was a star basketball player and later in college he majored in P.E and coached football. However his real sports passion was for sixteen inch softball. Having grown up in the Windy city, (Chicago) where 16' softball had its roots in the late 1880's, Frank made the game his favorite lifelong pastime. He continued to be highly engaged in the sport during his professional career and retirement. In fact, he played in senior leagues well into his late 60's.
In addition to his love for sports he had another true love -his Wife Esther. Frank met her over sixty years ago and was married to her for 57 years. They were made for each as the old saying goes.
Frank also had a successful and respected career as an Advertising Executive at the Chicago Tribune, The Orlando Sentinel and other Florida papers. He really enjoyed the media business and because of his commitment to such and enjoyment therein, he convinced me to give it a whirl. Some of his old friends from the Chicago Tribune just recently told my how they also looked up to him as a role model and mentor.
We already miss you , Frank .
