Frederick William BLESSING

BLESSING, Frederick William, 78, was born October 10, 1933, in Elizabeth, N.J., died December 11, 2011, in Dade City, Fla. Fred served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years and Pasco County Sheriff for 10 years. He was a lifetime member and past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 4283 in Dade City, American Legion Dade City and MOC. Fred volunteered over 2500 hours with the veterans' hospital in Gainesville and Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Blessing; his children, Cheryl Evans (Thomas), Michael Blessing (Virginia), Laura Blessing and Debbie "Chris" Noth (Doug); grand-children, John Evans, Mark Fields, Kayla Fields, Matthew Kunkle, Amber McKenzie and Matthew Blessing; three great-grand-sons, Dillan McKenzie, Hunter Fields and Aiden Patrick; brothers and sisters, Glen Greenfelder (Gail), Agnes Blessing, Ronald Blessing, Eugene Blessing (Maureen), Delores Cyr (Joseph), Rita Cassiba (Joseph), Pat Zaluck (Chester) and Mary Palladino (Anthony); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
