Gabriel PULIDO Obituary

PULIDO, Gabriel Angel MD, 80 of Sebring, Fl was called to heaven September 20, 2012 surroun-ded by his loving family. Born in Matanzas, Cuba, he was a graduate of The University of Havana Medical School and completed his residency in Pathology at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. He practiced medicine as a Pathologist at Mac Neal Memorial Hospital for 25 years. In 1984 he moved to Sebring, Florida and became the Director of Pathology at Highlands Regional Hospital. In 1997, he founded Highlands Clinical Laboratory. Gabriel is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda, four children, Laura, Gabriel, Marilyn and Carolyn, daughter-in-law, Maggie and three grandchildren, Lauren, Alex and Joshua. A celebration of his life will take place, 10:00 am on September 25, 2012 with a Mass at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Carolyn and Marilyn: I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing. I will always remember how awesome and kind he was when we would hang out at your house in Riverside and when i came to visit you guys in Fla. Dr. P was truly a cool dad!!

Bill and I are so very sorry to hear of Gabriel's passing. We travelled in 2010 to Portugal,Spain and Morocco with The Pulidos' on a 2 week bus trip......it was made special getting to know them and sharing meals and experiences with them.Please give your Mom a hug,we think of them often and we have enjoyed the e cards your Dad sent and the DVD he made and sent to us

I am Carolyn's friend in Facebook and although we haven't met each other in person I feel pain knowing that my friend is suffering this loss. I know exactly how it feels dear Carolyn, that's why I just want to tell you I am with you on the distance. My prays for you and your family. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family, I knew Dr Pulido and his son back during my working career in the late 90's. He was such a kind, warm, caring and friendly man and sure he touched the hearts of many. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of his loss. I was friends with his youngest daughters and the whole family was so nice.. Still remember my visit to see where he worked atthe hospital. Very nice gentlemen...
