Gary Lewis Obituary

Lewis, Gary Michael

passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2025, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 71. He was born on August 9, 1954, in Weirton, West Virginia, to Dorothy Joan and Harry Milton Lewis. After graduating from Marshall University, Gary moved to Tampa and built a successful career in sales. He was passionate about his work and known for his warmth, humor, and ability to turn colleagues into lifelong friends.

A proud sports fan, Gary rooted for the Tampa Bay Lightning while never forgetting his Pittsburgh roots with the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He loved music, good food, and great company. Curious and full of life, he was always eager to try something new and embrace the next adventure – golfing, gardening, RVing, you name it.

Gary was a devoted father, loyal friend, and beloved brother. He had a rare gift for connection and made everyone around him feel seen and valued. His generosity, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew him. He is survived by his children, Lowell Brunson and Catherine Devin Lewis, and his siblings, Linda Ann Lewis, Brian William Lewis, Donald Allen Lewis, and Gail Ellen Duke.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 30, at 2 pm at Christ the King Parish, with a reception to follow at Blount and Curry Center for Life Services. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gary's life.
